What We Collect & Why
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Enquiry and contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of any message you send us
- Messages taken on our behalf by our call-answering provider
- Client records, where we provide services to you
- Server logs generated automatically by normal website operation
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use enquiry and contact details, and call messages, to respond to you and, where relevant, to take steps you request before entering into a contract with us. Where you become a client, we use client records to perform that contract. In both cases our lawful basis is contract, or steps taken at your request prior to entering into one.
We also rely on legitimate interests — for example, to operate and secure our business, respond to general enquiries, and keep server logs so the website functions reliably and safely.
Where we hold accounting or legal records, our lawful basis is legal obligation, since these are required of us by law.
How Long We Keep Data
- Unsuccessful enquiries: retained for 6 months after the last meaningful contact, then deleted
- Copies held by our call-answering provider: retained for approximately 30 days
- Accounting and legal records: retained for as long as required by law
- Client records: retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice, or as required by law
Security, Transfers & Cookies
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including restricting access to those who need it and choosing service providers who take security seriously.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies & tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or any similar technology, and we do not track your browsing activity. Because of this, no cookie banner is needed.
